MOTORHOME BUYERS GUIDE

Class A Motorhom A Class A Motorhome is generally the largest RV found in the Motorized category. Class A's are built on specially designed motor vehicle chassis usually found from companies such as: Ford, Chevy, Freightliner, and Spartan to name a few. Most highline Motorhomes are found in this Class A category. Class A's are available generally with Gas or Diesel engines. Multiple slide-outs are common. Living systems usually have heating, electricity, air conditioning, water and propane gas; a wide choice of appliance and entertainment choices are also available. Amenities include all the essentials (galley with large fridge, microwave/oven, cooktop, dining area, living area, bedroom, and bathroom).

Class A Motorhomes are either gas or diesel powered. Diesel powered Class A's Motorhomes generally cost more than gas-powered. Diesel powered Class A's are referred to as diesel pushers or diesel pullers depending upon where the engine is situated. They are sometimes referred to as diesel coaches and if built on a 'bus' chassis, a 'bus conversion'.
Class A Motorhomes offer the luxury and convenience of home while traveling. They offer a wide array of choices for features, and interiors and are usually considered the most luxurious.

Class B Motorhome A Class B Motorhome is commonly referred to as a “Van Camper”. They are built on a van chassis with an elevated roof. They are also known as “Van Conversions” and "Touring Coaches". Amenities include cooking facilities, sink, small fridge, convertible bed/dinette, toilet facilities, electric and water hook-ups, waste water tanks, air-conditioning, and heater. They have everything that one needs with less space. Gas mileage usually ranges within 18-25 mpg.

Class B Motorhomes offer versatility and great savings in fuel usage. They can work as a second family vehicle and can be used for light towing. Interior space is limited so they are best suited for couples or couples with small children.

They have enough living space with standard amenities such as kitchen with fridge, microwave/oven, cooktop, dining area, living area, bedroom, bathroom, washer and dryer, appliance and entertainment, and various optional features to choose from.

Class C Motorhomes offer the luxury and convenience of home while on the road and usually work best for budget-minded RVers. Considering the overhead cab sleeping space, Class C’s usually sleep more than Class A’s and work well for larger families.
