Traveling by RV can be
one of the most economical ways to travel, but can become pricey if you don't
watch your budget. With a little planning and research there are many ways to
save money and still have fun. First, vacation nearby. You'll be surprised at
how many interesting destinations is just one tank of gas away. If you do
decide to travel further, try making fewer stops and spend more time at each
destination. Also, the less your RV weighs the better mileage you'll get on the
road. Pack lightly and try shopping for some of your necessities once you've
reached your destination. When it comes to eating, don't eat out. Restaurants
can be costly, especially with the whole family. Cooking and eating together is
the cheaper yet more fun alternative. Buy inexpensive, plastic dinnerware.
While using and throwing away paper plates and cups may be easier, reusing your
plastic dinnerware saves money. Also, try shopping at local discount stores,
flea markets, yard sales or roadside stands instead of the supermarket. It's a
cheaper alternative and you just might get lucky and find some unusual
treasures!
