PROVO, Utah -- Progress Manufacturing introduces the Fastway Zip trailer breakaway cable designed to keep cables off the ground and out of harms way.
The 4-foot coiled cable measures only 2 inches when not in use. Faster and easier to use than a standard breakaway cable, the Zip attaches to the breakaway device's switch pin with a split ring similar to a keychain. The other end features a 3.5-inch spring clip that snaps onto the tow vehicle. The wire stretches exactly enough to maintain a secure connection without worrying about it dragging on the ground during travel. A 6-foot version is also available.
When done towing, unclip the spring clip and the device recoils to its original size and clips to itself rather than hanging over the front of the trailer.
The Zip is made of coated high-strength coiled cable that will not fray, and can quickly and easily be installed as a replacement for the current breakaway cable.
